We announce with great enthusiasm the fourth
number of the label Relativity EP. A 3 track EP that
includes the remix of a great DJ/Producer as Kyle
Geiger. He certainly is no stranger to the
international techno arena, with releases on heavy
hitter labels such as Drumcode, Soma, Perc Trax,
and Droid. Originally inspired by the harder,
percussive stylings the techno sound featured on
seminal labels from the late 90's, Kyle has
witnessed the evolution of the genre as it morphed
into a more accessible, groove based sound. Still
loving the energy and power of the more straight
forward side of techno while embracing the genre's
changes, Kyle has refined his productions and DJ
sets into what very well may be a new breed of
soundscapes that pushes things forward for the next
generation of techno to come.
With the first track Relativity we are immediately
swallowed up by the past, in fact Kernel Key gives
us this amazing track characterized by an
impressive groove, a well-defined bassline and
superlatives sequencers with rhythm modulations. A
primordial memory of the 90's Detroit Techno style.
A big applause to Kyle Geiger, who with his touch of
experience and professionalism, shows off in 6:10
minutes his great skills as a producer giving rise to
an extraordinary remix. Walking through the notes
of the original track, Relativity Remix turns into a
blend of rich percussive vitality with a resounding
punch and an amazing arrangement which makes it
a real orgasmic track.
At the end of this EP we found E=mc2, a track that
with its tribal rhythm and dark synths harmonies,
creates the feeling of high hypnotism that transports
us into an environment full of energy and techno
vibration.
An EP that fully embraces the design of the label of
letting revive memories of the new and old school
techno.
